What a Joker

My name is Emily. I try really desperately to be witty, but usually I’m just awkward and end up cussing a lot.

I’m from North Carolina, best state there is. I love America.

I spent two months in Africa. I wish I wasn’t so cliche as to say that it transformed my life, but it did.

I’m currently being held hostage in South Carolina for the next year, studying psychology and sociology at Furman. But I’ll be back in the Old North State for law school once I graduate, and then on to an MSW. I’ve been told I’m an academic masochist.

I’m a closet hopeless romantic who is covered in a thick, hard shell of realistic, bitter cynicism.
